Dear Washtenaw County Community Leaders and Business Owners,
As a valued member of our local community, we are looking to you to join us in supporting our unique sports league. In teaming up with us, your company will gain the opportunity to generate positive PR, demonstrate a public display of commitment to a highly motivating cause and gain increased brand awareness within our fast growing community.
We are looking forward to our 10th season of Upward Basketball and Cheerleading in Washtenaw County. The Upward motto of “Every child plays, every child learns, every child is a winner” has assisted in our tremendous growth. We try to keep costs at a minimum through an army of volunteers. In order to keep registration fees affordable for families while still being able to support our continued growth and also offer scholarships to families in need, we are hoping to raise $10,000.00 in sponsorship money for our upcoming 2013 season that runs January through March.
Based on our steady growth rate, we anticpate that close to 700 children (K-6th grades) will register for our basketball and cheerleading teams for 2013. Last year we practiced 4 days a week at five facilities and had a full house all day on our Saturday game days. Each Saturday, at two different facilities we had 66 basketball teams playing and 6 cheer teams with well over 1000 parents, grandparents and friends cheering and supporting our youth.
As a sponsor, your company will be recognized in many ways. We have created several different sponsorship packages to allow you, as a sponsor, to participate in our season and support our league as you deem appropriate. Clearly, we would be open to any additional sponsorship opportunities that might appeal to you. Your gift is an important contribution to our efforts to provide an exceptional sports experience and unique culture of faith for our young people. Based on the nature of our league, your donations are deductible in accordance with IRS regulations.
